Notification settings

Choose how and where you receive notifications from Clave.

Notification settings let you control where Clave sends your updates. You can configure delivery channels from the Settings page under Personal → Notifications.

Accessing notification settings

  1. Open Settings from the sidebar (or press G then S).
  2. Under the Personal section, click Notifications.

Notification channels

Clave supports two notification channels, each controlled by an independent toggle:

In-app notifications

When enabled, notifications flow into your Inbox inside Clave. This is on by default.

Turn this off only if you want to stop receiving in-app notifications entirely. Note that you will still have access to the Inbox page, but it will stop updating.

Email notifications

When enabled, Clave sends email summaries to the address on your account for important events. This is on by default.

Your email address is shown in Settings → Account and is set when you sign up with Google. It cannot be changed from within Clave.

Enabling and disabling channels

Click the toggle next to each channel to turn it on or off. Changes save immediately — there is no Save button.

When you disable a channel, a confirmation toast appears confirming the change was saved.

Tips for managing notification volume

  • If your inbox gets noisy, use the Filter button in the inbox to show only specific notification types rather than disabling in-app notifications entirely.
  • Snooze notifications you're not ready for rather than deleting them — they'll come back at the right time.
  • Use the AI smart digest in the inbox to quickly catch up without reading each notification individually.

For inbox-specific controls like filtering, snoozing, and bulk deletion, see the Inbox guide.
